A.K. Walden is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. Her writing career began in junior high school when she entered her first poetry contests, winning the Editor's choice award two years in a row. She continued to shape and develop her writing style throughout high school, and it was a chance meeting in college with a highly acclaimed poet, author, and writing professor that led her to publish her work.
Recently relocated to Seattle, Washington, Walden continues to write and publish her work, and has gone one to work as a publishing consultant to independent writers and authors, and currently leads a panel of judges for national poetry contests.
